Why we exist
Many Service providers face the same challenge: subscription fees that don’t match the seasonal nature of the industry. SURFKIN was designed to change that. Service providers never pay, and when you do get bookings, costs are kept to transactional essentials.

How does this marketplace make money?
We’re not aiming to make a profit with this platform. Our goal is to break even while providing a service-oriented space that supports both providers and customers. A small 3.8% booking fee is added at checkout-not for profit, but to cover the bank transaction fee, backend costs, secure hosting, regular updates, and future improvements. Every cent goes directly toward providing good experience for customers and providers alike.

How much does it cost to use SURFKIN?
It’s free to list your services and there are no monthly fees no hidden costs. We only charge a small 3.9% booking fee to help cover secure payment processing through stripe and platform hosting.
The booking platform pays for the stripe fees out of this percentage which can vary from %-% so we went with an average.
At SURFKIN, we know that sometimes the marketplace absorbs part of these costs—and that’s okay. Our goal isn’t to make revenue. It’s to build a fair, sustainable space that connects the providers with the communities they serve.
How do bookings and payments work?
Surfers book directly through the platform. Payments are processed securely by Stripe, and providers get notified instantly when they receive a booking.
Who can join as a provider?
Surf-related service providers. Surf schools, camps, retreats, photographers, rental shops, or guides—can request to join and start listing their services after qualification checks.
